From Burnout to Brilliance: How to Build Your Bubble and Excel in Business as a Neurodivergent Woman

Are you a newly diagnosed neurospicy woman who feels like you're just spinning your wheels and not actually getting where you want to go?

Do you struggle with planning, organizing, and completing tasks- no matter how hard you try- whether it's buying new planners/products to stay organized, or trying to implement all the productivity hacks you see on the internet?

Or, worst of all, do you find yourself hitting burnout repeatedly, diminishing your capacity to create, work, and be happy- even losing skills you used to pride yourself on?

The truth is, traditional productivity methods don't work for neurodivergent brains!

The one-size-fits-all approach doesn't take into account the unique needs and challenges of people with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, OCD, tourettes, and other neurodivergent conditions. And the scary part is, if you repeatedly hit burnout, it can diminish your capacity each time, making you lose skills you used to pride yourself on.

That's why, if you're a high-achieving, neurodivergent woman, it's crucial to start living your life differently than you have been programmed by society to live.

If you are struggling to keep up with your peers, feel exhausted all the time, and can't seem to get your brain to complete the tasks on your never ending to-do list it's time to build your bubble.

Your buble is a safe and supportive environment that allows you to thrive as a neurodivergent entrepreneur and here are some steps to help you build your bubble:

  1. Acknowledge your neurodivergent traits: Whether you have a formal diagnosis or not, it's important to acknowledge your neurodivergent traits and accept them as part of your identity. By recognizing your strengths and challenges, you can leverage your unique perspective and skills to grow your business.

  2. Prioritize self-care: As a neurodivergent entrepreneur, self-care is not optional. It's a necessity. When you take care of yourself, you can show up as your best self in your business and personal life. Make self-care a priority by scheduling regular breaks, practicing mindfulness, and engaging in activities that bring you joy.

  3. Set realistic goals: Neurodivergent entrepreneurs often have a tendency to overcommit and take on too much at once, leading to burnout and overwhelm. It's important to set realistic goals that align with your strengths and values and prioritize self-care. Celebrate your successes, no matter how small they may seem.

  4. Create flexible systems that work for you: While traditional productivity methods emphasize strict schedules and routines, neurodivergent brains may need more flexibility and creativity. Experiment with creating systems or SOPs (standard operating procedures) for your varying energy levels to find out what works for you. This can look like an 8-step skin care routine on high energy days, and 1 makeup wipe on low-energy days.

  5. Build a support network: Running a business can be lonely and stressful, especially for neurodivergent entrepreneurs who may feel misunderstood or judged by others. Surround yourself with people who understand and support you, whether it's through online communities, coaching, or therapy.

By building your bubble, you can create a sustainable and fulfilling business that allows you to be your authentic self- without sacrificing self-care.
